Description
The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care Dietician The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care is seeking a full-time research Dietician who has previous experience in providing community outreach services to South Asians. The appointee will join the team for a health and wellbeing improvement project working on the residents in informal houses and sub-divided flats, and will work with a multidisciplinary team consists of nurses, social workers, public health practitioners, and academics. Duties include (a) providing dietary diagnosis and consultation, and assisting in related health assessment; (b) collecting data; (c) providing casework and support services to the study participants; and (d) performing other duties as assigned. Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or Nutritional Science; (ii) at least 2 years’ relevant post-qualification experience in nutrition consultation, health education, disease management and weight management; (iii) a self-motivated, flexible, and passionate work attitude, with commitment in community engagement and patient-centred care; and (iv) proficiency in English and Chinese. Having trained in motivational interviewing, and relevant experience in serving socially-disadvantaged community living in sub-divided flats will be advantageous. Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
