Position #: 9010704 Expected Start Date: July 20, 2026 Union: HSAS Facility: Nurses Alumni Wing City/Town: Saskatoon Department: Mental Health Community Clinics & Programs - Childrens Services Type: Part-time regular FTE: 0.21 Shift Information: Days Number of Hours per Rotation: 6 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Field Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Dietitian - Degree $36.171 to $44.23 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, the Dietitian Degree provides Pediatric nutrition therapy which includes screening, assessment, developing and implementing evidence-based care plans, nutritional counselling and other needed nutrition interventions for clients between the ages of 0-12 and their families. This position may also on occasion provide these services to youth between the ages of 12-18. The Dietitian Degree will work collaboratively as part of a Multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement preventative and educational programs, co-lead therapeutic services for children with eating disorders, disordered eating, and other nutritional related concerns. Provides consultation to the Children's Mental Health Services Staff. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience * Previous experience in Pediatric nutrition care. * Previous experience in providing nutrition assessments and intervention services for children with eating disorders and mental health related issues. Education * Completion of an approved Dietetic Practicum Program * Bachelor of Science in Nutrition (BSc(Nutr)) Knowledge and Abilities * Ability to network and collaborate with internal and external resources/agencies * Highly developed written and oral communication skills * Comprehensive knowledge in Pediatric nutrition management of eating disorders * Strong interpersonal skills * Highly developed organizational and multi-tasking skills * Understand best practice treating clients with mental health/eating disorders * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Knowledge in clinical nutrition * Ability to provide group education and support in area of nutrition and diet * Ability to develop educational resources and presentations * Demonstrate sound judgment in assessing and analyzing nutritional care plans * Ability to apply advanced computer skills * Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships. * Knowledge in time management * Comprehensive knowledge of nutrition concerns related to mental health * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment * Knowledge of issues of individuals with eating disorders Other Information * Valid Class 5 driver's license * Registered/eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Dietitians * Registered/eligible for registration with the Dietitians of Canada (DC) The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is the largest employer in Saskatchewan, employing more than 45,000 staff in a dynamic healthcare environment.
