GiaCare Inc. is accepting applications from qualified Registered Dietitians for a future opportunity supporting the Human Performance (VIPER II) program at Joint Base San Antonio. This position is being recruited in anticipation of contract award. Qualified candidates will be considered for employment upon contract award. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Join an interdisciplinary Human Performance team dedicated to optimizing the health, nutrition, and readiness of Air Force trainees. As a Registered Dietitian, you'll provide evidence-based medical nutrition therapy, health promotion, nutrition education, and performance nutrition services while collaborating with Sports Medicine Physicians, Athletic Trainers, Exercise Physiologists, and military leadership to improve trainee health and mission readiness.   SCHEDULE * Full-Time * Monday-Friday * Typical duty hours: 5:30 AM to 2:30 PM * Schedule may vary based on mission requirements * Up to 10 consecutive hours per day (including a one-hour lunch) * Maximum 40 hours per week * No routine on-call * Federal holidays observed (excluding AETC Family Days) RESPONSIBILITIES * Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and evaluations. * Develop and implement individualized medical nutrition therapy plans. * Provide nutrition education and health promotion counseling. * Evaluate nutrient intake, supplementation, food-drug interactions, and dietary behaviors. * Develop interdisciplinary nutrition care plans. * Support injury prevention and performance optimization initiatives. * Conduct nutrition-related research and performance improvement projects. * Educate Military Training Instructors (MTIs) and leadership on evidence-based nutrition practices. * Collaborate with Sports Medicine Physicians and the Human Performance team. * Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic health record.   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * U.S. Citizen * Master's degree in Nutrition, Nutrition Education, or a nutrition-related field from a CDR- or ACEND-approved program * Current Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) * Current, full, active, unrestricted Texas Dietitian license * Current in-person Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross * Minimum two (2) years of experience in medical nutrition therapy, health education, or health promotion, including outpatient and/or inpatient clinical experience  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Experience supporting tactical athletes or military populations * Experience with sports nutrition and performance nutrition * Experience conducting nutrition education for large groups * Research and performance improvement experience * Strong interdisciplinary communication skills WHY GIACARE?
