Position: Dietitian
Location: Bariatric Surgical Clinic, Winston-Salem North Carolina
Employment Type: Full-Time, M-F. 08:00am-05:00pm

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietitian to join our team

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct Nutritional Assessments: Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients’ nutritional status to identify needs and risks.
  • Develop and Implement Care Plans: Create individualized nutrition care plans based on assessment findings and collaborate with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide Education and Counseling: Offer one-on-one and group education sessions to patients and families, focusing on nutrition-related topics and behavior change strategies.
  • Monitor and Evaluate Progress: Regularly assess and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure effective nutrition management.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to integrate nutrition care into overall patient treatment plans.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, nutrition, or a related field.
  • Licensure/Certification: Registered Dietitian status by the Commission on Dietetic Registration; Licensed Dietitian in the appropriate state.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Clinical Dietitian preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Knowledge and skills to support patient education and engagement in self-care management.
