Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated Registered Dietitian to join the nutrition team. This role is Part-time 8 -hour day shift (20 hours pe/week) with a varied schedule with main coverage days on Tuesday and Thursday every week. Registered Dietitian Job Responsibilities: The Registered Dietitian provides safe and therapeutic nutritional care in a comprehensive and systematic manner. Provides clinical services and acts as a resource to physicians, nurses and other professional healthcare team members, to provide patients with optimum nutritional care. Coordinates the nutrition care plan with the physician and other healthcare providers while serving as a resource in the integration of the nutrition care plan into the comprehensive plan of care for the patient. Formulates an individualized nutrition plan of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice. May perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree minimum if licensed before 1/1/2024; Dietitians registered after 1/1/2024 must hold a master’s degree Certification: Registered Dietitian (RD) required within 3 months of hire Basic Life Support from American Heart Association required within 3 months of hire Preferred Qualifications: Inpatient experience preferred Completion of a Dietetic internship We are Inova, Northern Virginia’s leading nonprofit healthcare provider.
