Job Details Job Location: SEATTLE, WA 98134 Salary Range: $22.00 - $25.00 Hourly Shift: Monday – Friday, 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm DCG ONE is one of the largest privately held marketing service providers in the country. ABOUT THE ROLE The Digital Bindery Operator is responsible for operating finishing equipment to complete jobs coming off our digital printers. This includes paper cutters, folding machines, perfect binders, and stitchers. The ideal candidate will have prior bindery experience, a solid understanding of print production, and a commitment to producing high-quality work efficiently. RESPONSIBILITIES Operate bindery machine and equipment with consideration for timeliness, quality, and client needs. Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements, and measure workpiece dimensions to determine the accuracy of machine operation. Set stop or guide to specific length as indicated by scale, rule, or template. Positions workpiece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade. Detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions, remove defective products from workpieces, and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager. Perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or workpieces. Ensure that assembly practices comply with established policies and procedures. Troubleshoot assembly problems and report findings to the department manager. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. Perform related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS At least one (1) year of experience with bindery equipment. Knowledge of print production and bindery/finishing processes. May be required to complete and pass Public Trust Security Clearance. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and all day. May be required to frequently lift up to 30 lbs Hand dexterity and strength. Flexibility in work hours may be required. WORK ENVIRONMENT This position predominantly works on the production floor in an industrial warehouse setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
