ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Degree or equivalent in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related discipline
  • Few years of experience in a digital communications or marketing role (corporate, agency, or B2B environment)
  • Demonstrable experience managing social media and web platforms, with an eye for both detail and storytelling
  • Experience creating social media content in multiple formats, such as short-form video, photography, graphics, and live event coverage
  • Robust understanding of SEO, analytics tools (GA4, social dashboards), and accessibility best practice
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for web, social and campaign content
  • Experience creating and publishing social media content across formats, including video, photography, graphics and live event coverage
  • A track record of managing and maintaining digital channels (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram, X, YouTube, websites) with accuracy and consistency
  • Ability to deliver against an integrated editorial calendar, aligning content with business priorities and campaign objectives
  • Skilled in gathering, interpreting and presenting data from GA4, social dashboards and other analytics tools to demonstrate impact and recommend improvements
  • Understanding of SEO, UX and accessibility best practices, and how these strengthen user journeys and brand reputation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, designers, and agency partners, balancing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Competence with content management systems, digital asset management and related publishing tools
  • Developing confidence in translating technical or complex topics into clear, engaging digital contentDESIRABLE PRACTICAL SKILLS:

Knowledge of image and video editing tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, After Effects, or Canva equivalents)

  • Ability to film and edit short-form video content for social media
  • Familiarity with paid media models (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta Ads) and basic campaign reporting
