Description

As our Communications Officer, you’ll support how we engage, educate, and inspire our diverse audiences about CRA’s work. You will need to be self-driven, collaborative, data-driven, culturally aware, and adept at learning how we navigate competing priorities and produce messaging that resonates with diverse stakeholders—from global, diverse media outlets to clients across digital audiences.
You’ll maintain and help create our digital and editorial content about design, technology, and cities. You will gain experience in developing social media content, press kits, analytics, media archiving, and supporting written materials in Italian and English. This role is designed for someone at an early stage of their career—whether you’re a recent graduate passionate about urban innovation or a creative digital specialist eager to bridge global audiences with architecture, urban planning, and high-tech ideas.
The job is based at CRA’s headquarters in Turin, Italy.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the Schengen area.
  • Fluency in ITALIAN and ENGLISH is mandatory: other languages are welcome.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with social media and graphic design tools.
  • Education & Experience: A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Development, Marketing, Administration, Arts or Graphic Design, and Humanities, or at least 2 years of experience in communication or press office roles.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, MailChimp, and social media management tools.
  • Soft Skills: Calm and collected under pressure, can effectively handle multiple deadlines, and is solution-oriented.
  • No applicant will be an expert in everything — we want to hear from people who can learn quickly.
Responsibilities

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creating and archiving digital assets (press releases, social media content, press coverage, social metrics, and other multimedia–i.e. videos and graphics).
  • Redirecting and/or corresponding with international journalists and design awards–such as press requests and scheduling regarding CRA’s ongoing projects and awards applications.
  • Social Media: Support our social media strategy by writing copy and producing multimedia graphic content.
  • Newsletters: Regular updates for both internal team members and external clients and audiences will be provided digitally.
  • Collaborate with design and business development teams to ensure alignment with internal cohorts, clients, and external media needs and requests.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the CRA Think team with editorial, communication, and consultancy projects– such as press release writing, award applications, and editing interviews with Carlo Ratti in Italian and English.
  • Support research, writing, and editing for awards applications, as well as all of CRA’s internal and external communications.
  • Find opportunities to highlight CRA’s projects in the global design award circuit, gaining extra visibility even after the project’s public launch.
