Responsibilities

Do you want to further your career in digital marketing or web content? We have a great opportunity to join our Digital Content Team in our Marketing, Recruitment and Communications department.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Digital Content Editor who has a passion for digital content. You’ll create engaging, relevant, timely content that will enhance the University’s reputation, aid recruitment and focus on our strengths in terms of student experience, teaching quality, research impact, performance, and business and industry relevance. You’ll work alongside course and module academic teams to highlight innovative, employment-focused aspects of the Connected Curriculum.
You’ll create new content for the University’s websites, and review, edit and update existing content based on data, audience (UX) and expert research to improve accessibility, search engine optimisation (SEO) and content design.
You need to have experience writing and editing online copy and working in a team, along with excellent communication skills. The role also involves communicating with stakeholders across the University, so you’ll need to be able to demonstrate excellent customer service.
This appointment is a fixed-term contract (2 years). For internal candidates it may be possible to apply for this role under the Secondment Policy . If you wish to apply as a secondee, you must have approval of your line manager in advance of submitting your application form. Whilst there is a need to be in Portsmouth a few days a week, hybrid working is available for this role.
