JOB SUMMARY

The Digital Content Specialist Forms and Communication position creates business solutions for DSD business areas related to form design and development, data collection and leading projects using a variety of digital development tools, systems and platforms. This position also encompasses key communication functions with counties, tribal agencies, providers, stakeholders, MCOs and other DHS partners. The person in this position must have a passion for form development, content development, editing and accessibility and is highly motivated to produce quality work.

As a member of the Training, Technical Support and Communications (TTC) team, this position exists to:

  • Collaborate with DSD staff to ensure that policies and procedures related to using DHS/DSD forms are clearly communicated, accurate and functional for county and tribal agencies, partners, MCOs and internal staff that administer/deliver services
  • Collaborate with DHS, Minnesota IT (MNIT) and DSD staff to design, develop, deliver and maintain paper and electronic forms and other data collection methods to support DSD business activities
  • Collaborate with DSD and TTC staff to develop web and eList content, graphics and other DSD content that aligns with business needs
  • Develop DSD communication plans and work with subject matter experts and communications staff to implement those plans
  • Assure that DSD content and multimedia/graphics meets state, federal and DHS standards for accessibility, privacy protection, usability and equal access

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

2 years professional experience in in form development, website/CMS platforms and multimedia development. Experience must include the following:

  • Professional writing / editing experience for public web sites
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud applications (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, InCopy, Photoshop, Dreamweaver)
  • Website usability principles and best practices for user experience design
  • Knowledge of Minnesota’s health care programs and DSD/ADSA division policies, procedures, programs and business goals

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Human Services or related field may substitute for 1 year of professional experience OR Master’s degree in Journalism, English, Human Services or related field may substitute for 2 years of experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Expert skills using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft SharePoint
  • Demonstrated ability to gather complicated information and organize it into an easily understandable format
  • Communicate effectively, clearly and responsibly with a highly diverse audience in person and in writing
  • Effectively prioritize work and manage time with competing requests
  • Knowledge of Minnesota’s health care programs and DSD/ADSA division policies, procedures, programs and business goals
  • Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and/or cultures
