About the Role  We are looking to hire existing or train new digital court reporters to capture legal proceedings using our advanced digital recording technology. Key responsibilities include:  * Recording and monitoring legal proceedings (discoveries, arbitrations, hearings). * Ensuring good audio quality and clarity throughout the proceeding. * Maintaining accurate notes and annotations throughout the proceeding. * Working closely with lawyers, judges, and other legal professionals and keeping absolute confidentiality.   If you are a digital reporter will less than two years of experience, you will be required to complete our digital reporter training course. Additionally, once completed, you will receive training on our software and hardware platform, and be required to perform various tests to confirm your knowledge, skill and ability. On-the-job training will also be given to the successful candidate.  Responsibilities Our digital court reporters are independent contractors. As an independent contractor you can define your own schedule/hours. That said, the more available you are for work, the higher your income will be.  You will be required to provide services both onsite and remote proceedings, which generally take place Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Overtime rates apply for jobs outside these hours. While we would prefer a candidate who can commit to both onsite and remote jobs, we are willing to interview those who can commit to remote only.  For those with exceptional skill, we are able to offer additional employment opportunities as a transcriber of the digital proceedings taken.  Qualifications  The ideal candidate will have at least two years of digital or other court reporting experience. However, those candidates who demonstrate these strong skills will also be considered.
