This Commercial Lead role is a critical enabler for the Digital & Data Team in achieving its ambitious goals over the next 3 years and beyond. Providing strategic commercial direction and procurement expertise you will lead on the delivery of a number of strategic Digital and Data Contracts with an emphasis on high performing contracts, innovation and excellent value for money.
JOB DESCRIPTION
In this role you will lead the procurement process, contributing to delivering commercial excellence for the Government Property Agency and providing a customer-centric service. Your role will be varied and you will be expected to use your commercial expertise to work on and manage all stages of the Commercial Lifecycle with a keen focus on the procurement process in the initial years. This will include working with stakeholders to gather requirements, understanding the broader government priorities and strategy for digital, carrying out market research and identifying appropriate routes to market.
Your role will work across the Digital and Data category supporting in the development of areas such as commercial software agreements, managed service arrangements, implementation partners, artificial intelligence and capability contracts.
You will use your skills to lead project teams, influence decisions, and drive performance. Whilst the role will not immediately have any line management responsibilities, as the Government Property Agency continues to grow opportunities may arise in the future.
Important: Applicants must be CIPS qualified to L4 minimum & willing to work towards full MCIPS to be eligible to remain in this post.
