Description
Your purpose at Stanley/Stella The Digital Data Specialist owns Stanley/Stella's digital measurement ecosystem - defining the tracking framework, turning data into insights, and improving customer journeys and conversion across marketing, ecommerce, website, and digital product initiatives. The role bridges Business, Marketing, Product, BI, and IT teams and helps embed a data-driven culture. Your role and impact 1. Digital Tracking, Tagging & Data Governance Own the digital analytics ecosystem across all touchpoints (website, webshop, embedded catalogue, marketing tools, future digital products). Design and maintain the data layer, event taxonomy, and technical tracking specifications; validate implementations after releases. Manage tagging via Piwik PRO (or GA / GTM): web events, ecommerce, ad pixels, conversions, UTM governance, paid media tracking (Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn). Run regular audits to ensure quality, consistency, and GDPR compliance, including CMP management. Monitor third-party scripts to minimise impact on Core Web Vitals. 2. Reporting, Data Modelling & Business Insights Build reports and dashboards using Power BI, DAX, Power Query and AI. Maintain aligned KPIs and reporting standards covering site/webshop performance, acquisition, funnels, retention, campaigns, and AI/organic visibility. Support Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews with actionable insights and enable self-service analytics for stakeholders. Translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical audiences. 3. Customer Journey Analysis, CRO & Optimisation Analyse customer journeys, funnels, and friction points using Mouseflow, Hotjar, or Microsoft Clarity. Support A/B testing, personalisation, CRO programs, and campaign optimisation. Partner with Product, Marketing, and Digital teams to turn insights into measurable improvements and foster a culture of experimentation. 4. Performance Monitoring & Product Analytics Monitor website performance and Core Web Vitals with IT and digital teams, using tools such as RumVision. Analyse product usage and feature adoption to inform future digital and AI-enabled experiences. Contribute to the evolution toward event-driven product analytics. 5. Market Intelligence Conduct competitor analysis via web scraping and benchmarking tools, tracking traffic, assortment, pricing, digital experience, and search visibility. Monitor trends in AI and search visibility, including emerging AI-driven discovery channels. Explore AI-assisted analytics, anomaly detection, and predictive insights to improve reporting. 6. Cross-functional Collaboration & Data Culture Act as the main point of contact for analytics and measurement topics across teams. Translate business needs into measurable analytics solutions. Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product Managers, BI, IT, and Digital Communication teams. Promote a data-driven culture and support teams in improving UTM hygiene, campaign measurement, and analytics maturity. About you Essential Hands-on experience with Piwik PRO and/or Google Analytics, GTM (or equivalent), and CMP / GDPR compliance. Strong understanding of web analytics, ecommerce, event-based tracking, and conversion measurement. Experience designing data layers and writing technical tracking specifications. Strong Power BI skills. Experience with UX analytics tools (Mouseflow, Hotjar, or Clarity). Familiarity with A/B testing, CRO, and digital optimisation. Experience with web scraping (Python, Apify, Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent). Strong analytical mindset and clear communication with both technical and non-technical audiences. Desirable SQL and BigQuery. Core Web Vitals and frontend performance optimisation. Ecommerce, digital product, or omnichannel background. What Success Looks Like Digital platforms are tracked accurately, consistently, and compliantly. Stakeholders trust and actively use analytics to drive decisions. Friction points and conversion opportunities are proactively identified and improved. Reporting evolves from descriptive toward predictive and actionable insights.
