We are seeking a highly motivated Digital Designer to join HeyKaki, a Chinese social media brand that produces Chinese content for local youths. Our content can be found on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.

As a Digital Designer, you will:

• Build on our brand story and create visual assets that fits the narrative
• Play a key role in shaping the look and feel of all digital assets including social media, website and video to create a strong identity for the brand
• Work closely with content producers to execute concepts on social media (e.g. with memes, infographics, instagram stories)
• Use visual effects, animation and other techniques to help bring ideas to life
• Help with the design of any engagement collaterals on print and digital
• Maintain brand site with basic website design (HTML, CSS)
• Design and liaise with vendors to produce brand merchandise
• Be involved in basic content creation and ideation with the team

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree/Diploma in Art, Design, or a related field; candidates with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, leading projects and seeing them through from concept stage to delivery preferred
• Proficient in English and Chinese, written and spoken, as this role supports a Chinese publication
• Strong technical knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (e.g.Photoshop; Illustrator; InDesign; After Effects), HTML, CSS, as well as design skills
• Ability to understand creative principles and practices, conceptualise ideas
• Able to work independently but also as a team to meet deadlines; excellent communication skills
• Frequent user of social media (YouTube, Instagram and TikTok) platforms would be advantageous
