Our clients are small and medium businesses across the Gold Coast and Brisbane, plus a handful of national names. Recent and ongoing work includes Griffith University, Cars4Us, Decodable Readers Australia and Gourmet Meals, alongside not-for-profits and community organisations. Projects are typically four to six week builds, and you'd usually have three or four on the go at once.
One project might begin with an established brand and a set of wireframes. Another might need you to define the typography, colour, layout and visual direction from scratch. You'll turn those inputs into clear, compelling website designs, explain the thinking behind your decisions and work through feedback with project managers, account managers and clients.
Beyond design, there's front-end work available if you want it: building your designs as responsive WordPress sites, maintaining existing ones, solving layout issues and formatting content. Most builds use page builders, with some custom theme work. How much of this you take on depends on your interest and experience, and we're happy to train the right designer up.
The work is varied. Alongside websites, you may create logos, brand identities, style guides, digital campaign assets, print pieces or app interfaces. Web design is the core of the role and the part that has to be excellent, but brand and identity work is a genuine and welcome part of it.
You'll be our sole designer. That means real ownership: you set the visual direction, make the calls within an agreed brief and budget, and shape how design gets done here.
It also means the feedback you get is commercial rather than mentoring. Concepts go to a project manager or account manager, then the client, then final polish. You'll hear what lands and what misses, but you'll be the one bringing the craft. Suits someone mid-to-senior ready to run their own process.
We're building AI into how we work, quality first and efficiency second. You don't need to be an expert, just genuinely interested and open to making these tools part of your practice.
