Our Cape Town Marketing department is looking to add a Digital Designer to our team. We offer a dynamic environment in which you will be focusing on designing for our Study and Play Sports Abroad businesses. Study and Play Sports Abroad are two exciting business units within the Sable International group of services. We guide the student and their parents every step of the way from tailored admissions advice, support with applications, visa assistance, and right up to departure. Job Overview: You will be working in close collaboration with an energetic, in-house marketing team, as well as 2 other designers and content writers. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience, predominantly in digital design, preferably in an advertising agency, and a portfolio that showcases creativity and technical expertise across a variety of digital channels (predominantly) as well as some print work. You will work on a range of different projects and channels including social media ad designs, email templates, Google display banners, online brochures, print ads, billboards and event collateral. Please note this is an on-site position in our offices in Kenilworth, Cape Town. You’re perfect for this position if you: Hold a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Visual Communication, or a related field. Have 3+ years’ experience as a designer, primarily focused on digital design, with the ability to execute print work when required (agency or in-house experience preferred). Can demonstrate an innovative and diverse portfolio of digital design work across multiple platforms and channels. Are highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, with strong expertise in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects (experience with additional tools is a bonus). Can take a campaign concept and execute it effectively across multiple channels. Have experience creating animations and GIFs for digital platforms. Are comfortable doing basic video editing. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to present ideas to internal stakeholders. Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and can manage multiple projects simultaneously (retail experience is a plus). Are highly organised, proactive, and able to manage time and priorities effectively. Your role and responsibilities: Among other tasks, your main responsibilities will include: Working alongside members of the Marketing team in developing a dynamic design presence for the Study and Play Sports Abroad business units within the Sable portfolio of businesses. Designing and developing visual assets for digital and print campaigns, including social media posts (FB/IG/Linkedin/TikTok/YouTube), Google display banners, email templates, digital brochures, animated gifs, short videos, billboards, printed brochures, etc. Collaborating with other designers, copywriters, developers and business stakeholders. Upholding brand guidelines and ensuring design elements are cohesive across various touchpoints and maintaining the integrity of our Corporate Identity. This involves being the design lead for Study and Play Sports Abroad and assisting our in-house teams within our African countries (remotely). Assisting with the design and refinement of event documents, presentations, and promotional collateral. Keeping abreast of the latest design trends, tools, and best practices, within the digital landscape.
