JOB SUMMARY

Join us at the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) as a Digital Editor. This role offers you the chance to make a significant impact by delivering high-quality, impartial, easy-to-understand guidance in multiple content formats to help customers make the most of their money and pensions. There is a particular emphasis on reaching those most in need and vulnerable.
You will maintain existing MoneyHelper consumer-facing information and guidance to ensure we deliver accurate content at all times for our customers. You’ll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to helping people across the UK improve their financial wellbeing.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Excellent style of writing using plain language and the MoneyHelper tone of voice, strong editorial judgment and the ability to convey a complex message in a concise way.
  • Strong attention to detail, always ensuring accuracy and proven ability to optimise own and others’ copy.
  • Expertise in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team (eg liaising with product owners, subject matter experts), managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • An empathetic and understanding approach – so you are able to develop content for our target audience in the ‘struggling and squeezed’ segment.
  • Experience in consumer finance is an advantage – with an understanding of debt, credit, cost-of-living, budgeting and saving.
  • Digital publishing skills – you’ll have worked in a CMS; experience of AEM and Adobe Analytics is ideal although not essential.
