Our team in Corporate Group is looking for a Digital Enablement Solutions Architect to join them. You will report to the Digital Enablement Section Head. Our preferred candidate will have a hybrid work schedule at our East Aurora, NY corporate headquarters. However, we’re open to candidates who reside near our other US Moog locations for a hybrid structure as well. Remote work may also be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates possessing advanced industry knowledge and certification.
In this role, you will drive the deployment and optimization of ML/AI initiatives, enhancing efficiency and fostering innovation. You’ll transition proof-of-concepts to production, integrating cutting-edge technologies to improve product quality and performance. Your focus on optimization, data strategy, and adherence to standards will support data-driven decisions and ensure security and compliance. As a result, you will add significant value by fostering continuous improvement and technological advancement, resulting in better business performance and a competitive edge.

To be considered for the Digital Enablement Solutions Architect role, here’s what you’ll typically need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related technical field required; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred. Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • 10+ years of significant IT and industry experience in ML/AI, data science, IT, enterprise architecture, application development, lifecycle management, systems integration, and data management.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing scalable, production-level ML/AI applications and products, with oversight of large and complex projects.
  • Experience integrating data pipelines into ML/AI solutions.
  • Proficiency in ML/AI algorithm tuning and development.
  • Expertise in cloud-native hosting software and architecture, preferably Azure.
  • Proven software development skills, with recognition from senior developers.
  • Mastery of advanced software design paradigms and programming languages (Python, R, C#, C++, .NET, REST APIs, AI/ML models).
  • Experience with DevOps and ML/AIOps methodologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Experience working on or leading agile teams.
  • Effective negotiation and influence skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural, geographically dispersed environment.

As a Digital Enablement Solutions Architect, you will:

  • Operationalize Digital Enablement team initiatives, including ML/AI, connected factory, and connected products.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the ML/AI and IoT technology landscape to guide future production architecture.
  • Contribute to the ML/AI vision, roadmap, strategy, and architectural runway.
  • Provide senior advisory and technical consulting on standardized production architecture, design, security, and integration.
  • Evaluate design options, technologies, and tools to enhance DevOps and ML/AIOps practices.
  • Transition ML/AI proof-of-concepts (POCs) to minimum viable products (MVPs) and production, covering all stages from design to compliance.
  • Facilitate efficient deployment of ML/AI solutions by internal engineers.
  • Develop and implement production support and maintenance processes for deployed solutions.
  • Optimize performance and cost of ML/AI products.
  • Collaborate with data teams, SMEs, and technical leads to advance the data strategy for ML/AI applications.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate standards in technologies, tool chains, and processes.
  • Work with the team, business, and Product Owners to define technical features and non-functional requirements, plan iterations, and manage backlogs for MVP and production deliverables.
  • Prioritize work based on business needs, value, and feasibility.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Produce system documentation, user guides, and knowledgebase articles.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and external resources.

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $135,000.00–$175,000.00 Annually
Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
