About the job

Digital Manager | Social & Digital Strategy

Start: ASAP (likely end of Sept / October)

Duration: 9 months +

Location: 100% remote (must be based in Europe)

Rate: 340-375 EUR p/day

I’m looking for a strategic Digital Manager to join a complex organisation on a contract basis, with an increasing focus on social media performance, digital insight and strategy.

This is not a dashboard-building or reporting role.

The client needs someone who can look beyond the numbers, understand what the data is really telling us, challenge its quality and turn digital performance into clear commercial recommendations.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Identify the data and metrics needed to answer key business questions
  • Interpret digital performance and translate insight into action
  • Assess data quality, tracking and reporting effectiveness
  • Challenge reporting where data isn’t fit for purpose
  • Benchmark social performance against competitors and industry standards
  • Identify opportunities and make recommendations to improve digital performance
  • Use insight to shape digital strategy and competitive positioning
  • Influence senior stakeholders and challenge thinking where required

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong experience across digital analytics, measurement and performance
  • A genuine ability to interpret data rather than simply report it
  • Strong understanding of where data comes from and how to identify gaps or inaccuracies
  • Experience evaluating social media and digital performance
  • Commercially minded, pragmatic and solutions-focused
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Confident, straight-talking and comfortable challenging stakeholders
  • Agency experience would be highly advantageous, particularly if you’re used to working across varied, project-based environments

The key difference

We’re looking for someone who asks “So what?” rather than simply “What does the dashboard say?”

The role is increasingly social-focused, so if you enjoy turning performance data into strategic insight, identifying opportunities and influencing what happens next, this could be a great fit.
