Description
An exciting opportunity to join Equality Institute (EQI); a purpose-driven organisation working to end violence against women and girls and advance gender equality globally. Support EQI at a key moment of growth by delivering high-quality digital marketing activity that strengthens EQI’s reach, storytelling and organisational impact. Coordinate and deliver digital content and campaigns across website, email and social channels, ensuring accuracy, accessibility and alignment with EQI’s values and priorities. Contribute to effective, purpose-led communications, supporting strong systems, workflows and day-to-day delivery that enable EQI’s work to reach and engage diverse audiences. Fixed-term (18 months), part-time (0.8 FTE) position, with flexible working arrangements available. A hybrid remote role, available in Naarm (Melbourne); bi-weekly presence in the Collingwood office will be required. Salary: $80,000–$90,000 + superannuation (FTE, pro-rata for 0.8) Who You Are (Selection Criteria) You hold tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, media or a related field (or bring equivalent experience in a digital marketing or communications role). You have experience coordinating and delivering digital marketing or communications activity, supporting content, campaigns and platforms in a fast-paced or purpose-driven environment. You bring strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and keep digital content and campaigns running smoothly. You are confident working across digital tools and systems (such as Wordpress, Hubspot, or other platforms) and enjoy creating clarity through well-maintained content, processes and reporting. You communicate clearly and thoughtfully, and are comfortable working with a range of stakeholders, including internal teams, contributors and external partners. You are proactive and solutions-focused, able to adapt to changing priorities, identify issues early, and take initiative in your day-to-day work. You are a collaborative team player who values inclusion, respectful communication, and shared responsibility, and you thrive in a small, high-trust team environment. You are culturally responsive, intersectional, and grounded in feminist and decolonial principles, bringing this lens to how you work, collaborate and make decisions. You are passionate about advancing gender equality and preventing violence against women and girls, and you approach your work with integrity, empathy, and purpose. Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalised folks tend to only apply when they check every box. So, if you think you have what it takes, but don't necessarily meet every single point on the job ad, that’s okay, we would still love to review your application! Who We Are Equality Institute (EQI) is a global feminist agency working to end violence against women and girls. We are values-driven and underpinned by feminist principles in the ways we work and how we conduct ourselves. We actively apply an understanding of intersectionality in our work and are committed to having diversity reflected in our workplace. Our values are active: Strive for Equality Stay Curious Be Courageous Find the Joy They are not merely slogans but are embedded into the structure of our organisation, and manifest in the approach we take, work we do, and systems we build. We approach everything with an intersectional feminist lens. While violence affects women and girls across the world, different layers of people’s identities—such as their socio-economic status, indigeneity, ethnicity, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, HIV status, minority status, age, and so on—impact the ways in which they are discriminated against and the types of violence perpetrated against them. Thus, our work aims to address not just gender inequality but all forms of inequality and systems of oppression in an interconnected way. We ask questions instead of making assumptions and take an evidence-based approach to create effective change. We recognise vulnerability as a strength and dare to be different. We actively find the joy and share it, and we create systems that enable and support self and collective care. These are just some of the ways in which our values manifest in the work we do. Additional Adjustments We are committed to providing an inclusive experience to all candidates. If you have a disability, condition, illness or access requirements, please let us know how we can best support you throughout your recruitment experience.
