KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

· At least 5 years in a digital marketing role within sports, entertainment, or a similarly fast-paced industry.
· At least 4 years of building, executing, and reporting on paid digital media campaigns, such as Meta Business Manager, Google Ads, and affiliate marketing platforms, with a focus on performance marketing and ROI.
· 3 years’ experience in CRM, email marketing, and audience segmentation strategies and delivery.
· Experience in personalisation and automation tools such as DotDigital and Movable Ink.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Strong understanding of digital platforms, trends, and emerging technologies.
· Commercial marketing and can demonstrate best practice in test and learn, driving commercial growth.
· Excellent project management skills.
· Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
· Passion for sport and a deep understanding of fan engagement in a global sports environment.

Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

We are seeking a dynamic Digital Marketing Lead to lead our digital marketing strategy, drive engagement, and maximize commercial opportunities across our digital platforms.
The Digital Marketing Lead will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive digital marketing strategy that enhances the club’s global reach, deepens fan engagement, and drives revenue growth. This role will oversee all aspects of digital marketing, including content strategy, paid media, SEO, CRM, and e-commerce, ensuring alignment with the club’s overall marketing and business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement a data-driven digital marketing strategy to grow the club’s global fanbase and increase brand engagement.
  • Working collaboratively with other departments to oversee the implementation of strategy and delivery of all digital channels, including the club’s website, mobile app, email marketing, and content.
  • Lead marketing campaigns across social, search, and display advertising to drive ticket sales, membership, retail sales, and fan engagement.
  • Creation of marketing plans, Gannt charts, and reports for all marketing activity.
  • Delivery of automation strategies, alongside test and learn plans.
  • Implementation and development of the brand proposition across the business alongside the creative department.
  • Collaborate with the content team to create high-impact digital campaigns that align with key club moments, commercial partnerships, and fan experiences.
  • Optimize SEO strategies to improve organic reach and website traffic.
  • Develop the club’s email and CRM strategy, ensuring targeted and personalized communication with fans through email, push notifications, and other channels.
  • Analyse digital performance metrics and provide regular insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners, including sponsors, agencies, and technology providers, to drive digital innovation and maximize commercial opportunities.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging platforms, and digital marketing best practices to keep the club at the forefront of digital engagement.
