Job Title: Digital Marketing Officer
Department: Marketing
Salary: £30,525 to £34,816
Reports To: Head of Marketing and Communication

Job Purpose: The Digital Marketing Officer plays a key role in driving student recruitment and promoting the institution’s offerings by creating and managing digital marketing campaigns. This role focuses on optimizing the institution’s online presence through website management, social media strategy, email marketing, and paid digital advertising to increase engagement, applications, and enrollments.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Commitment to Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding, and Health and Safety.
  • Strong knowledge of digital advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager).
  • Proven experience in digital marketing, including campaign management and content creation.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp).
  • Proficiency in website management and SEO techniques.
  • Experience using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Qualified to at least GCSE (level 2) in English and Maths or equivalent vocational qualifications.
  • Certifications in digital marketing (e.g., Google Ads, HubSpot, CIM).

Responsibilities

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Assist with the planning and coordination of institution events including open days, awards ceremonies, etc.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development by undertaking job-related training.
  • Contribute to the planning and development of the service as a member of the team.
  • Have a duty of care to yourself and others regarding Health and Safety issues and ensure that the institution’s Health & Safety Policies and Procedures are implemented.
  • Actively promote the institution’s Equality & Diversity policy, encouraging staff awareness and participation in all areas.
  • Actively promote the institution’s safeguarding policy and be aware of your responsibilities to report concerns.
  • Carry out duties pertinent to the scope of the post as directed by the Principal or other senior managers of the institution.
