This could be the perfect time for you to join us a Digital Media Examiner in our Forensics Services Department.
Are you ready to make a difference in the world of forensic investigation? Join our team and provide a comprehensive forensic digital and analogue media service to the force. Your role will include CCTV recovery, forensic data recovery, image analysis, enhancements, and court presentations. You’ll be instrumental in aiding police operations, contributing to crime investigations, and supporting the evidential requirements of the criminal justice system. Ensure our service provision aligns with forensic quality standards, legislation, and policy. Be part of a team that values precision, integrity, and excellence in forensic science.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Provide assistance and advice in support of live incidents, investigations, gathering intelligence and conducting proactive/reactive investigations where digital media and data acquisition opportunities exist. Forensic recovery of digital media (CCTV) evidence, attending crime scenes/premises and liaising with the public, to secure evidence.
  • Provide a comprehensive forensic video and audio processing service using specialist software/techniques to obtain best evidence including video and audio enhancement and analysis, media copying and transferring, preparation of complex compilations and media recording in order to support the operational objectives of the Force.
  • Produce factual technical reports and evidential material and provide technical testimony at court in relation to video and audio evidence on behalf of the Force, to support the processes of the Criminal Justice System.
  • Provide specialist technical advice in relation to video and audio evidence and liaise with internal and external stakeholders in the processes involved with obtaining, preparing and preserving video evidence.
  • Carry out video/audio editing of witnesses to enable statements and information to be obtained whilst maintaining the dignity and vulnerability of the witness.
