DIGITAL MERCHANDISING ASSISTANT

We are looking for a Digital Merchandising Assistant who will be responsible for the merchandising of our Primark.com website at a product and category level, ensuring that our strategy for both click and collect and non-transactional research journeys is executed and that we are hitting commercial targets. You will be performing daily analytics across core categories ensuring that our product catalogue showcases the best product mix in the right place, at the right time to encourage our customers to make a visit to one of our stores or to make a purchase via click and collect.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of fashion and lifestyle retail, as well as the ability to understand data to develop category merchandising and a good depth of understanding in fashion ecommerce. They will form a key part of our new and growing digital team, working closely with trade, buying & and the wider digital function to ensure that Primark.com is achieving its strategic goals. We will be looking for a highly collaborative approach, focusing on strong relationship management and the achievement of shared goals.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO AS AN DIGITAL MERCHANDISING ASSISTANT;

We want you to feel challenged and inspired. Here, you’ll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities:

  • Understanding of the e-commence funnel, proactively identifying areas of friction and opportunities to drive engagement, support ease of shopping & optimise sales potential.
  • Execution of strategies in key commercial areas of the site including search and landing pages.
  • Analysing data to build hypotheses around which products & journeys to prioritise to drive department KPIs.
  • Contribution towards achieving Primark.com click and collect sales targets for designated departments.
  • Use dedicated tools and systems to deliver on core requirements of role & support further analysis and hypothesis build.

  • 1-3 years work experience in a web trading or digital merchandising team, with retail.
  • Experience using Search & Merchandising tools & platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in fast paced environment; able to prioritise workload and find solutions to problems which may arise.
  • Self-motivated, problem solver and results oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills [written and oral] with strong presentation skills
