The Digital Platforms Specialist plays a key role in strengthening how RAFT uses technology to support our mission. This position manages and improves our website, digital systems, and online platforms while helping the organization thoughtfully adopt AI tools to improve efficiency and impact. This role is both hands-on and forward-looking. You will maintain day-to-day digital operations while identifying opportunities to improve how we work, connect with our community, and grow online engagement and revenue. You will work closely with teams across RAFT, including programs, marketing, development, and operations, to ensure our digital tools are effective, secure, and aligned with organizational goals. What You’ll Do Website Management (Webmaster) Manage and maintain RAFT’s website (WordPress), ensuring content is current, accessible, and functioning well Coordinate updates, new pages, and campaign launches with internal teams Monitor website performance and analytics; recommend improvements to user experience and engagement Maintain website security, backups, and system updates Online Sales & Digital Engagement Support and manage online platforms such as Shopify, event registrations, and donation tools Improve the online purchasing and donation experience to increase engagement and revenue Partner with marketing and development teams on digital campaigns and promotions Track and report on key performance metrics Optimize use of Google Analytics (including nonprofit grant tools, if applicable) AI Implementation & Technology Innovation Research and implement AI tools that improve workflows, reporting, and content creation Support staff in integrating AI into everyday work in practical, responsible ways Develop guidelines for ethical, sustainable use of AI and digital tools Provide training and ongoing support to staff Systems & Digital Infrastructure Support integration across systems (WordPress, Shopify, Salesforce, and other platforms) Help ensure systems are aligned, efficient, and meeting organizational needs Maintain documentation for digital processes and tools Assist with vendor coordination and technology projects What We're Looking For Experience 3+ years of experience in website management, digital platforms, or IT support Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress preferred) Familiarity with AI tools and digital automation Experience supporting online sales, donations, or digital transactions Experience working in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization is a plus Core Skills Comfortable managing websites, digital platforms, and integrations Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, solutions-focused approach Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities Clear communicator who can explain technical concepts in simple terms Curious and adaptable, with an interest in learning and applying new technologies Technical Skills Website management (updates, troubleshooting, performance, security basics) Understanding of analytics, SEO, and digital performance metrics Experience with system integrations (CRM, website, payment platforms) Awareness of cybersecurity and data privacy best practices Why Join us Competitive pay, health benefits, and 403(b) retirement match Bonus opportunities + generous time off (vacation, sick, holidays, shutdown) Creative, mission-driven work environment Hybrid schedule (at least 2 days per week onsite, must be locally based) RAFT (Resource Area for Teaching) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring joy through hands-on learning.
