Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The objective of this role is to lead and mature the onboarding and prioritisation of digital and systems projects across our team. The Project Portfolio Manager will oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business needs, delivery of measurable outcomes, and enhanced customer value. This role will also focus on establishing delivery frameworks, mentoring a developing project team, and driving continuous improvement in implementation practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and mature the onboarding, prioritisation, and delivery of projects aligned to business needs.
  • Develop and continuously improve project delivery frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
  • Support senior management with investment and resource allocation decisions.
  • Manage and maintain portfolio schedules, tracking, and reporting.
  • Guide and mentor project team members in best practices across project management, vendor negotiations, and delivery execution.
  • Actively resolve escalations and steer at-risk projects back on course.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve internal products, services, and delivery approaches.
  • Drive operational efficiency through system improvements, process refinement, and cost control initiatives.
  • Consolidate, analyse, and present program and project status reports for governance purposes.
  • Ensure adherence to governance processes, reporting standards, and project control requirements.
