JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Digital Pre-Press Separator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and separating digital files for various printing processes, ensuring high-quality output that meets our clients’ specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a passion for graphic design and print production.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency in screen printing, prepress processes, and color management techniques.
  • Strong experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly in graphic design applications.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to print advertising and quality control standards.
  • Familiarity with flexo press operations is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience with machining and layout design preferred.

  • Review incoming digital files (PDF, AI, EPS, etc.) for print readiness, checking resolution, bleed, trim, and color formats (CMYK, spot colors, etc.).
  • Perform necessary file corrections, including font embedding, image linking, trapping, and overprint settings.
  • Apply separations and RIP (Raster Image Processing) as required for the specific digital press workflow.
  • Ensure color profiles are correctly assigned and managed to maintain color accuracy throughout production.
  • Work closely with production, press operators, and customer service teams to ensure files are press-ready and meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain proper file archiving and documentation in accordance with company standards.

    Pay: $52,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and separate digital files for screen printing, flexo press, and other printing methods.
  • Manage color accuracy and consistency throughout the prepress process.
  • Utilize Adobe Creative Suite to create layouts and designs that align with client expectations.
  • Conduct quality control checks on prepress files to ensure they meet industry standards.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers to refine typography and layout design elements.
  • Operate CNC machines and forklifts as needed in the manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain organized records of all prepress projects and ensure timely delivery of files to production teams.
