The Digital Producer works in the newsroom to turn broadcast content into digital stories and social media clips. The role focuses on editing live TV output, publishing content across social platforms, and helping grow the broadcaster’s online audience. Key Responsibilities Edit clips from live TV broadcasts for digital distribution. Identify key moments from shows and quickly clip/edit them. Work with producers and on-air talent to capture the best moments from programmes. Post video clips across platforms including YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter/X. Collaborate with the digital publishing team to create articles and embed video in stories. Skills & Experience Required Qualification or experience in broadcast journalism or video editing. Strong understanding of how a fast-paced newsroom operates. Ability to edit video quickly and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop. Strong understanding of social media platforms and audience growth. Good editorial judgement and understanding of Ofcom guidelines. Knowledge of current affairs and news culture. Ability to work shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Personal Attributes Collaborative and able to work under pressure. Positive, adaptable, and proactive attitude.
