Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Exciting opportunity for a Digital Product Owner to join our Product team within motoring retail. This role is ideal for a strong problem solver who enjoys stepping into the customer’s shoes and collaborating with product development to deliver impactful solutions that maximise the value of products for Halfords Group. You will be responsible for defining the roadmap, setting priorities, and ensuring clear outcomes. This position offers the chance to work across a variety of products, bringing diversity to the role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to gather and understand detailed business needs, requirements, impacts, risks, and benefits.
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap aligned with strategic goals, prioritising epics, features, and user stories to guide the scrum team effectively.
  • Translate the product vision into compelling storytelling, clear specifications, and outcomes that inspire and direct the development teams.
  • Lead sprint planning sessions by clarifying requirements, defining sub-tasks, and actively resolving product-related issues to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Make informed decisions through trade-off analysis, draft key objectives and results, and apply data insights to drive business outcomes.
  • Track, measure, and report benefits realisation against objectives and forecasts, ensuring value is delivered consistently.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders throughout product visioning, concept development, and backlog prioritisation to maximise customer value and integration across end-to-end experiences.
  • Act as the product ambassador internally and externally, managing communications, addressing queries, and leading consultations with Product Council stakeholders to maintain transparency and alignment.
