We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Product owner to join our bank’s Customer Platform team in a full-time permanent role.   About the role  As the Digital Product Owner for the Activation and Engagement squad you will be at the forefront of working with vendors and stakeholders to identify and deliver the experiences that will engage and delight our customers.  As the Digital Product Owner for the Activation and Engagement squad you will be at the forefront of working with vendors and stakeholders to identify and deliver the experiences that will engage and delight our customers.  * Have a highly developed understanding of how to drive customer adoption and engagement within banking/financial services in order to lead the squad to design the right solutions with simplicity and digital first approach.  * Lead the squad and business SMEs via best in class iterative (agile) practices to deliver at high velocity and quality, with excellent stakeholder engagement and management.  * Facilitation of the key business SMEs to make effective decisions, agree roadmap and allocate capabilities to set up squad for success. * Coordinate your backlog to identify opportunities to scale our business by simplifying, digitising and/or automation. * Forward-thinking, capable of connecting the People First Bank strategic objectives with our immediate business priorities. * Showcase the value, the progress and experiences being delivered. * Educate and visualise the value of product ownership at an enterprise level, especially with systems or processes in the middle or back office. * Deliver simple, clear concise communication materials, Roadmaps, Executive Packs, Training * Navigate complex and national dispersed stakeholders and workforce.   Key Responsibilities  Vision & Strategic Alignment: * Define and communicate the product vision  * Ensure alignment with the bank’s strategic objectives, i.e. digital, regulatory compliance; customer experience, operations and simplification * Act as a key link between business stakeholders (Risk; Operations; Compliance; Finance Customer Experience, legal) and other dependant programs as required. Product Leadership: * Work with the cross-functional team, providing mentorship and support to ensure the successful delivery of digital banking customer outcomes.  * Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the squad and digital banking project.  Strategy & Governance:  * Work with stakeholders to define the digital vision, strategy and roadmap; aligning with business objectives and compliance mandates * Act as a link between business (risk, compliance, operations, data, customer experience and other noted domains) Business Operating Model: * Work collaboratively with stakeholders (including vendor partners) across the bank to ensure solutions are developed and deployed in a way aligned with the banks strategy, objectives and target state operating model. Product Backlog Ownership:  * Own the squad backlog, i.e. data; reports; process optimisation; operations and customer experiences, understand dependencies  * Maintain a min 3 to 6 month view of the backlog in line with agreed digital product roadmap Cross-Functional Coordination:  * Work with the customer migration cross-functional team, including other program teams with dependencies, providing mentorship and support to ensure the successful delivery of the business outcomes.  * Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.  Coach, mentor and support the squad and relevant SME’s. Stakeholder Management: * Facilitate engagement with key stakeholders * Drive governance and decision-making cadence  * Manage conflicting priorities between business functions   About you  You have a genuine passion for driving product success by collaborating with customers and stakeholders to define a clear vision, strategy, and roadmap, while consistently communicating progress. You focus on building realistic, outcome-driven plans that deliver measurable value and meet key performance indicators while prioritising effectively to balance new features, technical debt, and risk or compliance needs.  Knowledge and Experience * Extensive experience in product ownership within the banking or financial services industry  * Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives.  * Strong understanding of banking/finance industry, operations, digital technology, and emerging trends.  * Demonstrated experience in working with stakeholders to design and implement product enhancements and develop a product backlog aligned with the vendor’s product release cycle.  * Experience working in an agile development environment, with knowledge of agile methodologies and tools.  * Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards applicable to the banking industry will be highly regarded.  * Experience with change management and working in a matrix or complex environment.   Who are we?  It's an exciting time to join our organisation!
