POSITION TITLE:  Digital Recruitment Communications & Events Specialist CLASSIFICATION:  Classification “IV” per Schedule A of the collective agreement              DEPARTMENT:  Enrolment Management - Domestic Recruitment HOURS OF WORK:  Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm The University of Windsor is situated on the traditional territory of the Three Fires Confederacy of First Nations: the Ojibwa, the Odawa, and the Potawatomie. We respect the longstanding relationships with First Nations people in this place in the 100-mile Windsor-Essex peninsula and the straits – les détroits – of Detroit.   PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  To drive domestic undergraduate recruitment through targeted digital communications and high-impact recruitment events. The role supports informed student decision-making from inquiry through enrolment by delivering timely, relevant, and engaging outreach. It contributes to institutional enrolment and conversion goals through coordinated, student-centered engagement strategies. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: The candidate will possess: •    Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field. •    Minimum of two years of experience in digital communications, marketing, or student recruitment, preferably in higher education. •    Experience creating or supporting digital content and graphics for communications or marketing purposes. •    Experience using content management systems and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Eloqua) to deliver digital communications. •    Experience using student information systems (e.g., Oracle Student Services) to support recruitment and engagement initiatives. •    Experience supporting or coordinating events, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats. •    Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with strong writing and editing ability. •    Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and work both independently and collaboratively across technical and functional teams. •    Proficiency with commonly used internet, communication, and productivity applications, including Microsoft Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. •    Intermediate proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent design software. •    Knowledge of marketing-related legal requirements, including data protection, copyright, accessibility standards, and anti-spam legislation (e.g., AODA, CASL, GDPR). •    Awareness of current digital marketing trends, social media engagement strategies, and search engine optimization. •    Knowledge of digital recruitment strategies for higher education, including social media, email marketing, virtual events, and SEO to engage prospective students. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: •    Experience using CRM systems or student engagement platforms to support communications or marketing initiatives. •    Experience implementing brand guidelines to ensure consistent messaging and visual identity. •    Knowledge of accessibility standards for digital content and communications. •    Experience in higher education recruitment or student engagement initiatives.
