JOB SUMMARY:

The Digital Sales Director will develop and execute sales strategies to drive profitable growth and increase market share of the Digital product offering through the Trane field sales and service organization. Reporting to the Vice President of North America Commercial Sales and Service, this role provides direct leadership to a team of high performing Business Development Managers and influences the broader selling channel. The Digital Sales Director partners and collaborates with the PGT (product growth team) and key business leaders to drive offering development and commercialization, and is responsible for the overall P&L related to the offering.
The successful candidate will possess strong business and executive level leadership acumen, a background in strategy development and execution in complex B2B environments, along with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. Foundational knowledge of Digital solutions is beneficial.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a business development strategy tailored to the Digital ecosystem, align with Digital PGT to meet business goals, conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities, and set measurable and achievable sales goals.
  • Coach and mentor a high-performing team of business developers, allocate resources based on growth strategy and market segmentation, and monitor and assess team performance, providing feedback and corrective actions. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and foster direct C-suite level customer relationships and interactions, and serve as leadership sponsor for targeted accounts.
  • Own and execute growth strategies with the Sales Excellence Team and Regional Leadership teams, to achieve optimal maturity, taking full responsibility for achieving the results and ensuring accountability for the financial plan
  • Optimize the Digital sales process in collaboration with Sales Excellence and Sales Enablement teams, establish and monitor KPIs to track progress and success, provide regular reports to senior leadership, utilize sales technology to enhance productivity and customer relationship management.
  • Develop strategies to create new customer relationships within key vertical markets, maximize account penetration and expand relationships, collaborate across sales channels to drive coordinated efforts, and foster strong customer relationships and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting for business planning, oversee and manage the sales pipeline to align with growth targets, and use data analytics to monitor sales performance and drive growth.
  • Leverage market intelligence, data analytics and voice of customer to inform collaborations with the PGT to evolve offering development and commercialization.
  • Collaborate with business development and sales channel leadership to identify new opportunities, support sales channels in penetrating accounts and increasing sales force maturity, and ensure global alignment on accounts and share best practices.
  • Develop a deep understanding of existing offerings in systems, services, controls and contracting and communicate their value, use a solution-selling approach to meet customer needs, lead and coach contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms.
