Seeking an opportunity to be part of one of largest upcoming construction projects in the nation?
Our client, a public sector body are seeking a Digital Services Lead to support a major capital infrastructure programme on a project of national significance.
The role involves leading the delivery of digital and ICT services as part of a large-scale, multi-stream programme. This is a critical leadership position responsible for driving digital strategy, infrastructure implementation, vendor oversight, and IT service integration in alignment with overall programme objectives.
Reporting into the Programme Director, the Digital Services Lead will coordinate across a range of internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful digital outcomes in a highly regulated and mission-critical environment.
This position will be offered on an initial 24 month contract basis with a strong continuity of extension to a 60 months period subject to satisfactory performance.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Level 8 degree (or higher) in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior-level digital or IT project roles, with a track record of delivering large, complex programmes.
  • Strong expertise in IT strategy, infrastructure delivery, digital transformation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams, vendors, and service contracts.
  • In-depth understanding of cybersecurity, data protection, risk and change management.
  • Ability to work in a high-stakes, regulated environment involving multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience delivering large-scale digital or ICT programmes in healthcare, capital projects, or public sector environments.
  • Familiarity with Irish public procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of modern IT service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL).
  • Experience integrating legacy and modern digital platforms.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of the digital and ICT strategy in line with programme goals.
  • Oversee the delivery of all functions within the Digital Services Workstream, including:
  • Infrastructure and IT operations
  • Cybersecurity and compliance
  • Data governance and analytics
  • Vendor and contract management
  • Continuous improvement and service innovation
  • Ensure the seamless integration of digital services across workstreams (capital, operational, ICT).
  • Monitor delivery performance and ensure services meet defined KPIs, quality standards, and risk thresholds.
  • Work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and delivery partners to solve technical challenges and manage change.
  • Provide ongoing input into programme governance and reporting structures.
  • Champion best practices in IT governance, service management, and regulatory compliance.
