Join our Ministerial Offices as a Social Media Advisor Leverage advanced media expertise to lead and deliver high impact content strategies for the Minister’s Office Talent pool opportunities, based in Martin Place, Sydney, NSW. About the Role In the lead-up to the 2027 election, our Ministerial Offices are looking for experienced Social Media Advisors. We invite you to join a Talent Pool to be considered when an opportunity arises. As a Social Media Advisor, you will identify and leverage a range of media opportunities across diverse audiences. This includes opportunities within social media platforms, traditional journalism and digital media, as well as developing content strategies tailored to the needs of the office. In this role, you will be tasked with developing and delivering digital media materials that effectively support the planning and execution of media events. You will play a critical part in creating opportunities and providing expert social media advice to enhance Ministerial media presence across multiple channels. Your input will ensure that digital communication is both strategic and impactful, supporting the broader objectives of the Ministerial office. You will also work collaboratively with a highly skilled team, contributing to the development and execution of comprehensive plans designed to tell the stories of New South Wales. This teamwork will allow you to help shape and share narratives that reflect the state’s achievements and priorities, ensuring consistent and engaging messaging across all platforms. We’re Looking For Media Awareness: Shown through a strong understanding of media dynamics and responding effectively to media enquiries. Communication: Evidenced by exceptional writing skills, including developing content such as media releases, Q&As, talking points, and speeches. Content Creation: Proven ability to craft and implement engaging, platform-specific social media content. Analytical Thinking: Demonstrated through the capacity to comprehend complex issues, think strategically, and adapt to changing circumstances. Flexibility: Shown by managing conflicting priorities, meeting stakeholder expectations, and being available for after-hours and weekend work as rostered.
