You are currently enrolled in an accredited Canadian university and working toward an undergraduate degree, ideally at your 3rd year at the time of the work term. Your program is in Engineering or Architecture, with a strong interest in infrastructure, construction, and project management. Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada Onsite/Hybrid: This role requires the student to work full time 40 hours per week, either in a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term. Eligible candidates must be willing and able to be in attendance at our Toronto office and to attend client offices around the Greater Toronto Area as required. Travel outside of the GTA may also be required, flexibility to travel is desired but not mandatory. Job Description We are seeking individuals passionate about the construction industry and motivated by the work we do and the clients we serve. What you will learn: Gain exposure to major capital projects and infrastructure programs in Toronto and across Canada, understanding how these programs are set up, procured, and delivered. Get insight into the "business of construction," including the function of Project Management Offices (PMOs), project controls frameworks, and commercial governance. Learn how to extract, clean, and transform large datasets using tools like Power Query and organize them for enterprise reporting on modern platforms like Microsoft Fabric. Develop interactive dashboards using data visualization tools like Microsoft Power BI and Tableau, learning how to tailor insights for different audiences, from project teams to executives. Become proficient in identifying manual inefficiencies and replacing them with automated digital workflows and custom apps using the Microsoft Power Platform. Gain hands-on experience with industry-standard Project Management Information Systems (PMIS). Experience the full delivery cycle of a digital consulting engagement: from assessing client challenges to building the solution. Strengthen your communication and interpersonal skills by collaborating with clients, consultants, and vendors to drive action items to closure. Build professional adaptability, time management, and organizational skills by managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. Your typical workday will involve you: Developing and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that provide project teams and clients with clear, actionable insights into project performance. Extracting, cleaning, and integrating datasets from multiple sources to prepare them for reporting and analysis. Producing design documents and technical specifications, including functional and non-functional solution requirements and end-to-end data processes. Support the design and build of small-scale applications and automated workflows using Power Apps and Power Automate to streamline internal and client-facing processes. Assist in the setup, management, and documentation of Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) and Data Models. Work closely with the project managers and consultants to translate their specific data needs and help drive project deliverables to completion Qualifications Required Technical Literacy: Basic understanding of digital technologies; proficiency with productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office). Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze problems, interpret data, and propose solutions. Communication: Clear written and verbal skills; strong team collaboration. Adaptability: Quick learner, comfortable with new tools and processes; able to work across projects. Attention to Detail: Accurate documentation and adherence to standards. Preferred Exposure to digital advisory, system integration, or cloud platforms (Azure, AWS). Experience with data analysis tools, automation (Python, RPA), or AI concepts. Knowledge of BIM, construction technology, or asset management. Familiarity with project management (Agile, Waterfall) and smart building technologies. Languages Fluency in English required; French is an asset.
