EDUCATION:

Some post secondary education (humanities, social sciences, or fine arts preferred).

EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 1 year related experience. - Experience working with recording equipment and media editing software (including Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Audacity, and OpenShot) for the purposes of media creation and manipulation. - Experience working with spreadsheets and collaborative software environments such as Microsoft Teams, Google Drive, Google Calendar and Dropbox. - Experience with multimedia (audio and video) production preferred. - Some team lead experience as an asset/Some experience in a lead hand capacity acting as a resource to others

SKILLS:

  • Ability to deal calmly and courteously with the public - Basic keyboarding skills - A high degree of accuracy to details - Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others - Ability to learn and use different hardware and software programs - Effective oral and written communication skills to provide accurate information
Responsibilities

The Digital Support Assistant Lead Hand will provide service and support to patrons requesting to use equipment and software onsite at the Scott Library Media Creation Lab. The Lead hand will provide guidance to the Digital Support Assistants.
