About the Role The incumbent will work closely with a team of developers in SG and technology centers in Batam, Indonesia and KL, Malaysia to deliver the implementation and maintenance of application system needs under Digital Technology, and accountable for a smooth running of systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Successful delivery of large-scale digital technology initiatives/projects as per agreed timelines and planned budget. Work with team of professionals based in SG/ KL, Malaysia/Batam, Indonesia. Hands-on support application delivery teams and able to resolve technical difficulties for the various team. Work with various internal teams to complete solution selection, architecture design, vendor onboarding etc. Define/Find proper digital technology solution, implement digital engineering best practices and ensure the technology stack is up to date. Support application development following SDLC and security standards, as well as regulatory requirements. Through collaboration, build a good understanding of the insurance business processes for the team. Manage stakeholders effectively for business requirements and expectations To ensure Fair dealing related work requests are fulfilled to help businesses meet their Fair objectives. Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor to meet operational and/or other requirements. WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE: Degree Holder preferably in IT or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of IT work experience in Life insurance applications development, testing, and data management. Worked for both insurance and IT companies would be a plus. Proven working experience in managing large-scale applications, data migration and delivery in cloud-native and hybrid environments. Good knowledge of programming languages Java, SQL scripting, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript etc. Knowledge in iOS/Android Native, React Native is a plus. Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices. Working knowledge of the general technology landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good motivator & facilitator. Demonstrated success in stakeholder management and able to interact with diverse stakeholders to present solutions, plans etc. Ability to work under pressure with minimal guidance and have strong sense of ownership. Positive attitude and willingness to share and learn. Self-motivated, self-organizing and possess drive and lead by example. Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control.
