JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

GE Vernova’s Power Conversion & Storage (PCS) business delivers electrification systems that power some of the world’s most critical energy, maritime, and industrial applications. From advanced motors and drives to control technologies, we support our customers’ transition to greater efficiency and decarbonization.
We are now seeking an experienced and visionary Digital Technology (DT) Director for the North Europe (NEU) region. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for shaping and delivering our regional DT strategy, driving innovation, ensuring compliance, and enabling operational excellence across a complex, high-security environment.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, STEM, or related discipline (Master’s or MBA advantageous), will consider qualified by experience.
  • 10+ years in IT/digital project leadership, with 5+ years in management roles.
  • Experience in defence-related IT operations/projects (minimum 3 years).
  • Proven expertise in IT processes, cybersecurity, ITIL operations, and project/program management.
  • Familiarity with on-premises, NNPPI, and air-gapped environments.
  • Strong track record of leading IT strategy, stakeholder engagement, and complex change initiatives.
  • Must be a sole UK national, holding or eligible for UK Security Check (SC) clearance.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Define and implement DT strategies aligned with business goals; act as the regional DT leader and escalation point.
  • Operations & Security: Oversee IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and daily operations, ensuring reliability, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Innovation & Delivery: Lead end-to-end deployment of core DT applications and solutions; drive digital adoption and continuous improvement.
  • Defence & Compliance: Manage MOD-related DT requirements, including security certifications, export control compliance, and classified data handling.
  • People Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a regional IT team; foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with regional leadership, global DT COEs, enabling functions, and sourcing partners to ensure value creation.
