LiveWire is soulful by design, transforming the everyday into urban adventure and beyond. Drawing on its DNA as an agile disruptor from the lineage of Harley-Davidson and capitalizing on a decade of learnings in the EV sector, LiveWire’s ambition is to be the most desirable electric motorcycle brand in the world. With a dedicated focus on EV, LiveWire plans to develop the technology of the future and to invest in the capabilities needed to lead the transformation of motorcycling. LiveWire benefits from Harley-Davidson’s engineering expertise, manufacturing footprint, supply chain infrastructure, and global logistics capabilities. Innovating by design and attracting industry-leading talent, LiveWire is headquartered virtually, with a hub in Milwaukee, WI.
As LiveWire’s sole digital technologist, you’ll be in a pivotal position as the tech expert for digital infrastructure and applications for the entire company. The scope of this exciting role is vast, encompassing systems that support end-consumers, dealers & employees. You’ll set the direction for our website, connected product cloud, mobile app, ecommerce, identity, CRM and analytics domains. You’ll ensure that this entire technology platform cohesively meets the company’s user experience and cost requirements.
You’ll align LiveWire’s technology strategy with our ambitious business objectives, acting as the architect that ensures that our people, processes, technology, and information can rapidly adapt to changing business conditions. You’ll own the digital technology roadmap for the company, building the architectural runway by planning the delivery of new (and decommissioning of legacy) capabilities, defining how they integrate, and ensuring that security and cost risks are minimized.
While you will not have direct employee management responsibilities, you will be the primary leader of a crack team of software engineering contractors based in European time zones. You will oversee the work of a digital solutions architect, designing elegant solutions that are then implemented to your specifications.
