JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a project manager with PM experience gained within a manufacturing and/or supply chain environment to join our Digital Technology (DT) team, in Dowty (a GE Aerospace company) at our cutting edge manufacturing site in Brockworth, Glos.
Reporting to the programme manager, you’ll be responsible for wing-to-wing execution of technical projects to deliver high quality outcomes to internal and/or external customers. The role will focus mainly on governance, compliance, infrastructure and software tool implementation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Project Management experience within manufacturing and/or supply chain is essential.
  • Proven experience within IT project management.
  • Able to take a methodical approach to problem solving and able to effectively engage with others.
  • Demonstrated customer focus.
  • To be flexible and adaptable to change.
  • PMP, ScrumMaster or related project management certifications are highly desirable, or demonstrable experience in PM methodology.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business and functional partners, as well as technology leadership in specifying requirements.
  • Define execution plan and approach based on project scope, expected timeline and available budget/resources.
  • Facilitate convergence of functional and technical knowledge.
  • Work with our technical team, often across business organisations to coordinate day to day execution as per the technical requirements roadmap.
  • Cooperate with and manage external vendors.
  • Ensure pre-defined project management processes and practices are followed.
  • Ensure LEAN project management practices are followed.
  • Support the execution team with the resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies.
  • Manage project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events throughout the life of the project.
  • Manage stakeholder communications and progress reporting.
  • Track project outcomes realization and customer satisfaction levels through established metrics against service levels. Ensure lessons learned data is collected and used to improve. future performances.
