DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY REGULATORY LAWYER – UK

We are currently seeking Digital Technology Regulatory Lawyers in the UK to support our global clients with legal and regulatory aspects of the digital landscape including, cyber security, online safety, AI and data privacy as well as other emerging technologies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of post-qualification experience either in-house or with a top-tier law firm advising clients on compliance initiatives in complex regulatory environments.
  • Substantial expertise advising on digital regulatory frameworks within the technology sector, including as relates to cyber security, AI governance, and online trust and safety.
  • Good knowledge of key legislation such as UK Digital Operations Resilience Act, UK Critical Third Party regime, GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, EU Digital Services Act, EU AI Act, EU Digital Markets Act, UK Online Safety Act, and NIS2.
  • Excellent legal and business judgment, detail oriented, excellent analytical skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to operate autonomously and collaboratively across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • UK based and authorised to work and practise law in the UK.
Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic legal counsel on a broad range of compliance matters, proactively reviewing and interpreting regulatory developments and advising on their implications and application to business operations, policies, and products, including reporting requirements and risk exposure.
  • Design, implement, and continuously enhance compliance frameworks that support ethical conduct, regulatory adherence, and operational resilience across global functions.
  • Draft key regulatory policy wording, as well as regulatory clauses for contracts and templates.
  • Monitor external legal, regulatory, and procedural developments, creating relevant updates and training for internal stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Support cross-functional compliance initiatives within digital and technology regulatory landscape, ensuring alignment with evolving standards and fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and sustainability.
