Gorgonzola hosts Navigations Air Systems (NAS) domain. The activity of NAS domain: avionics, navigation and radar systems for civil air traffic and technologies supporting the activities of civilian and military pilots, ATC controllers and technicians of several airlines, air traffic control agencies and Air Force around the world. Italy is the Group’s Competence center for the design, production and delivery of Navigation Aids products and Competence Centre for the delivery of non-Radar Surveillance Products.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

• Master degree in Electronics / Telecommunications / Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent work experience

SKILLS AND IDEAL EXPERIENCE

Requested skills:

• Knowledge of Telecommunication Systems and Signals techniques (from Digital to RF)
• Knowledge of Signal Processing techniques and design
• Knowledge of HW/FW Electrical I/F Design
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Eligible for Italian National Security clearance
• Experience in the use of most common Office tools (word, excel ecc.)

Following skills would be a plus:

• Basic knowledge of SW Programming: C/C++, PHYTON, RUST
• Basic level of French language or at least, strong motivation to learn

The successful candidate will be inserted in a team in charge of design, procure and validate the following main equipment:

• Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), designed to simulate the Satellite On Board Units interface, from electrical and functional point of view, in order to support the Integration, Verification and Validation of single On Board Units, HW/SW Subsystems and the Satellite Platform.
• Ground Systems, ground reference stations, and ground safety-critical user applications.

The tasks will include:

• Customer and suppliers technical interfacing (starting from the offer phase to delivery)
• System architecture and definition
• Contribution to equipment specification and design
• Definition of validation and test plans
• Execution of test campaigns and analysis of results
• Managing maintenance and support activities post delivery

The candidate will interface customer and suppliers and collaborate with other Thales departments including project managers, industrial engineering, manufacturing, purchasing.
