Description

YOU’LL SHAPE THE DIGITAL EXPERIENCE FOR USERS WHO SHAPE THE FUTURE.

From DevOps to the boardroom, you’ll design experiences that empower action.
Why choose Eneco?
At Eneco, we’re not just talking about the future — we’re building it.
Our One Planet strategy is one of Europe’s boldest roadmaps to climate neutrality. To make it real, our Chief Digital Officer has built a team of visionaries who see digital not as support — but as a driving force.
This is your opportunity to apply your architectural mastery to one of the defining challenges of our time — within a company that values sustainability, autonomy, and innovation.

What you’ll do
Ready to architect the future of work for one of Europe’s most ambitious energy companies?
As Eneco’s Digital Workplace Architect, you’ll shape how 4,000+ colleagues across multiple countries work, collaborate, and innovate - from engineers in offshore wind to DevOps teams pushing code from anywhere. This isn’t just about devices and apps. It’s about designing a secure-by-default, frictionless experience that accelerates the energy transition.
You’ll bring together modern technologies like Azure Virtual Desktop, Entra ID, Intune, Power Platform, and more, crafting a scalable, resilient workplace that balances user freedom with operational control.
You’ll also lead one of our biggest upcoming transformations: overhauling our Identity & Access Management landscape, including a move to Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). Your architectural vision will ensure security, clarity, and simplicity, without slowing down the business.
This is a high-impact role for someone who can think strategically, execute pragmatically, and challenge suppliers to deliver excellence. Especially when it comes to supporting power users like DevOps engineers, where your expertise will fill a critical knowledge gap.
Is this about you?

You’re a rare mix of visionary and executor - strategic in mindset, practical in action. You know how to lead suppliers and still keep users at the heart of every decision. You understand the nuances of DevOps, enterprise IT, and modern digital collaboration, and how to connect it all into one coherent ecosystem. You bring structure where others see chaos, and clarity where others see complexity.

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Track record: You’ve architected workplace solutions at scale (1,000+ users), across modern tech stacks and complex environments.
  • Technical fluency: Proven expertise in Microsoft 365, AVD, Intune, Entra ID, JAMF, Power Platform, and CyberArk. Familiar with Citrix, but cloud-first in mindset.
  • IAM/RBAC experience: You’ve worked on identity transformations and know how to design scalable, secure, role-based access structures.
  • Security-first mindset: You design for zero trust, governance, and resilience.
  • DevOps awareness: You understand what developers need to work fast, securely, and flexibly — and design accordingly.
  • Strong communication: You can influence at C-level, challenge suppliers, and align technical teams.

You’ll be responsible for

BRIDGING USER EXPERIENCE WITH ZERO-TRUST SECURITY

  • Bake modern, zero-trust principles into every layer — from endpoint to identity. Combine usability and protection without compromise.
