Department Summary: The Digital Workplace department enables secure, reliable, and simple collaboration across the enterprise, centered on Microsoft 365 and modern workplace technologies. We drive operational excellence by standardizing services, streamlining support and delivery, and continuously improving performance and user experience across projects, maintenance, and break-fix operations. Our focus is to reduce complexity, align platform capabilities to organizational priorities, and ensure compliant, well-governed collaboration at scale. Roles & Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Workload Management: · Manage team of professionals across collaboration and productivity platforms. · Oversee project delivery, maintenance, operations and support tasks. · Establish clear intake, prioritization, and workload balancing across projects and operational demand. Strategic Alignment & Governance: · Collaborate with service managers, product owners and senior leadership to define roadmaps, investment priorities, and success measures. · Coordinate cross-functional governance/working groups to align stakeholders and drive decisions. Budgeting, Vendor & License Management: · Lead vendor management activities, including managing account relationships and proactively evaluating technical alternatives. · Conduct licensing evaluations and present technical/financial tradeoffs to senior leadership to support decision-making. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement: · Drive operational excellence through measurable improvements in support quality, cycle time, and customer experience. · Promote continuous improvement and lean problem-solving practices across the team. · Leverage automation and workflow improvements (e.g., PowerShell, Power Platform; configuration/orchestration where applicable) to improve reliability and reduce manual effort. Policy Compliance & Engagement: · Ensure adherence to corporate policies and security requirements. · Partner with security/compliance stakeholders to support information governance needs, including retention requirements for collaboration content (e.g., Teams/SharePoint Online). · Foster open communication and team engagement. Basic Qualifications: · 8+ years of experience with Microsoft 365 technologies, including Power Platform, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Voice/Video, B2B collaboration, and compliance/governance features such as Microsoft Purview (Labels, ILM). · Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent combination of related education and work experience. · Experience with IT Service Management tools/processes (e.g., Cherwell, ServiceNow) and vendor management. · Experience conducting licensing evaluations and supporting governance forums/steering committees. · Experience applying Agile principles and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) to deliver iterative solutions and foster continuous improvement. · This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site. Preferred Qualifications: · Master's degree in engineering (or Engineering Management/Information Systems/) or equivalent combination of related education and work experience. · Proven IT leadership experience in collaboration-focused teams. · Familiarity with compliance frameworks (CMMC or similar). · Excellent communication and leadership skills, including executive-level presentation and stakeholder alignment.
