REQUIREMENTS

  • Educational Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a mechanical fabrication yard as a Dimensional Controller.
  • Strong background in oil & gas and offshore wind field projects.
  • Preferably experienced in offshore platforms, shipbuilding, and conversion projects.
  • Proficient in Spatial Analyzer and AutoCAD.
  • Hands-on experience with Leica Total Stations (TS-15 & TS-16).
  • Physically and mentally flexible to perform under high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Orbit ISS is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dimensional Control Surveyor with a strong background in mechanical fabrication and offshore projects. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in dimensional control surveying for oil & gas, offshore wind, and shipbuilding projects, with proficiency in specialized software and surveying equipment. The role requires precision, adaptability, and the ability to perform effectively in demanding environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform dimensional control surveys in mechanical fabrication yards, offshore platforms, shipyards, and conversion projects.
  • Ensure accuracy in structural alignment, installation, and fabrication processes to meet engineering and client specifications.
  • Utilize Leica Total Stations (TS-15 & TS-16) and other precision instruments for surveying and measurement tasks.
  • Apply advanced dimensional control techniques using Spatial Analyzer and AutoCAD software.
  • Generate accurate survey reports, documentation, and as-built drawings for project handover.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and QA/QC teams to resolve dimensional discrepancies.
  • Support offshore wind field projects with dimensional verification and installation accuracy.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and quality standards during all survey activities.
  • Work under high-pressure conditions while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Contribute to project planning by providing dimensional input for fabrication and installation stages.
