KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE:

  • Experienced in the use of Absolute Arms.
  • Experienced in the use of Leica Trackers
  • Operating and running CMM machines.
  • Efficient use of other inspection equipment. Shadow graph, Hardness tester, Micrometers.
  • Practical and working knowledge of G.D & T.
  • In depth knowledge of Polyworks software for Absolute arm and Leica scanner.
  • Pc-Dmis software for Absolute arms (highly advantageous).
  • Pc-Dmis programming on CMM (highly advantageous).
  • Understanding of ERP software (highly advantageous).
  • Composite experience would be advantageous.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic and dependable with a strong working relationship across departments.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Dimensional Quality Inspector on the early/late shift. As a Dimensional Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for the efficient inspection and verification of components, to ensure adherence to specification, in accordance with defined procedures and priorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspecting in-process and finished components to tight tolerances.
  • Performing dimensional validation checks of jigs, patterns, moulds and car components.
  • Ability to understand and interpret drawings, defined operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Working responsibly and proactively in compliance with the teams reporting structure.
  • Flexible approach to working to support departmental needs with short lead times, within a fast-paced environment.
  • Working within defined Company Health and Safety guidelines.
