FLSA Status: Exempt (Salary) Job Type: Full-Time JOB SUMMARY: The Dining Room Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the dining room operations to ensure an exceptional guest experience. This role involves managing staff, coordinating with the kitchen team, maintaining service standards, and handling customer concerns efficiently. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise and coordinate dining room staff, including hosts, servers, and bussers • Ensure high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction • Train, mentor, and evaluate dining room team members • Manage staff scheduling and daily assignments • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow • Monitor dining room cleanliness, ambiance, and setup • Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly • Enforce health, safety, and sanitation guidelines • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed • Assist in budgeting and cost control to maximize profitability • Prepare reports on dining room operations and staff performance Qualifications: • Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, preferably in a supervisory role • Strong leadership and communication skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities • Strong organizational and multitasking skills • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand and walk for long periods • Capability to lift moderate weights (up to 25-30 lbs) • Comfortable working in a busy, dynamic environment This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
