SUMMARY:

The Restaurant Dining Room Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive and welcoming dining experience for guests. They are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining room, assisting servers with table settings and food service, and providing exceptional customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role preferred, but not required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong attention to detail, and ability to lift and carry trays of dishes.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry up to 30 pounds, and bend and stoop frequently.
  • Other: Must be able to work in a hot and humid environment.

Responsibilities
  • Table Setting and Clearing:
  • Set tables with clean linens, silverware, glassware, and other necessary tableware.
  • Clear tables promptly after guests leave, removing dirty dishes, glassware, and linens.
  • Reset tables quickly and efficiently for new guests according to restaurant guidelines.
  • Assist servers with carrying food and beverages to tables, if needed.
  • Dining Room Maintenance:
  • Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of all dining areas, including all tables and chairs.
  • Restocks and maintains the dining room and side stations with tableware, flatware, rolled utensils, condiments, and plate settings.
  • Keeps side stations clean throughout the shift.
  • Assists in cleaning spills and clearing the floor of debris.
  • Maintains washing and sanitizing supplies.
  • Assists in putting away clean dishes.
  • Guest Service:
  • Respond promptly to guest needs and requests, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Food Service Support:
  • Runs prepared food from the kitchen and/or sushi stations when ready.
  • Removes unused dishes from all dining tables as needed.
  • Additional Duties:
  • Cleans and returns menus from server area to host station.
  • Does regular bathroom cleanliness checks and replenishes toiletries as needed.
  • May be required to roll silverware and fold napkins.
  • Other duties deemed necessary by Supervisor, Manager, and/or Department Director.
