Description Objectives of this role Be able to provide accurate and timely information to members when taking reservations. Provide management with accurate and up to date floor plans, reservation notes, and any specific information that is vital to the members’ dining experience. Be knowledgeable about club policy with respect to reservations for a la carte dining, club events, dress code, parking, reciprocals, etc. Oversee restaurant “front doors “and ensure a seamless transition into the dining areas. Maintain a positive, safe, and clean workspace for the service team. Interact with members and build positive rapport. Learn and retain the names of the membership. Responsibilities Create floor plans for a la carte dining service, with the expectation of managing dining room flow of service, special request, seating preferences, etc. Strong focus on communicating special requests, seating preferences, allergies, and any other pertinent member requests via reservation notes, and direct communication with management when necessary. Willingness to learn NorthStar reservation and table management system. Welcome all members and treat them with excellent hospitality. Answer phones to proper service standards and be able to assist and or transfer members promptly. Follow up in a timely fashion with members who have left voicemails with the club regarding dining reservations, special requests, etc. Performs opening and closing duties, as needed. Act as a goodwill ambassador for the club always. Assist with checking in tables in NorthStar during dinner service. Coordinate with waitstaff about available seating. Guide customers to tables and provide menus. Initiate and maintain wait lists. Requirements Skills and Qualifications Proven work experience in a restaurant setting. Willingness to study and learn food & beverage material provided. Clear verbal communication skills. Organizational skills. Clear attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills.
