Description We are looking for a full-time Dining Room Manager to join our growing team! The Dining Room Manager will assist the Director of Food & Beverage and Assistant Director of Food & Beverage in all phases of the outlet operations. The ideal individual in this role will be detail-oriented, service-oriented and have club experience. Summary of Responsibilities: The Dining Room Manager will assume responsibility of the management of the outlets in the absence of the Director of Food & Beverage and Assistant Director of Food & Beverage. This individual will create a service-focused and memorable dining experience for homeowners and guests- being accountable for maintaining prompt, efficient and unobtrusive service in the dining room. Coordinating and overseeing the set up and break down of multiple outlets including the Palm Room, Grille Room, private dining rooms, bars, and all banquets and events, this individual will have a dynamic role in all outlet operations. This role will assist with the hiring and training of all front of house team members and will oversee the daily operations of all dining areas including the Palm Room, Grille Room, BreakPoint, banquets, and events. This individual will also assist with the ordering of all supplies, member charge rectifications, inventor, menu changes, and attaining budgeted fiscal goals. Essential Roles & Responsibilities: The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: Lead team members by example, consistently conveying enthusiasm and pride in your work. Overseeing the necessary duties of all club personnel and managing their performance. Facilitate all training with team members- giving input, planning lessons and teaching the applicable topics, motivating team members to stay current with all menus and beverages through upselling contests. Approach all encounters with members, guests, and employees in a gracious, attentive, courteous and service-oriented manner. Maintain and increase revenue through suggestive selling techniques. Ensure overall member satisfaction through operations management- visiting each table in the dining room and ensure that service, food and beverages are exemplary and rectifying any challenges that arise. Maintain an accurate inventory of and assist with the ordering of dry goods, cleaning supplies, bar and beverage program items, linens, flowers and decor. Communicate any repair needs, programming ideas, member and fiscal challenges to the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage. Perform daily line-ups, ensuring that table settings, team uniforms and the general condition of the club is up to standards. Assign stations and duties to the Serving team members, maintaining weekly deep clean and running side work. Ensure proper sanitary conditions in all food & beverage service areas in accordance with state and local regulations. Ensure all closing responsibilities are completed- side work, end of shift reports, end of day calculations, tip pool calculations and approving payroll at the end of the shift. Requirements To be successful in this role, the individual in this position must: be familiar with the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and the food handling guidelines. have full understanding and experience with Excel and computers. Experience with NorthStar is preferred. maintain a Serv Safe Certification and ensure team certifications are up to date. maintain CPR-Heart/Defibrillaror Certification. have working knowledge of service standards and bartending. be at least eighteen (18) years of age or older. be able to read and understand tickets. possess reasonable ability to communicate in English. have eligibility to work in the United States. Physical & Mental Demands: Must be able to stand for longer than eight (8) hours. Must be able to move fifty (50) pounds on an intermittent basis. Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, reach, push, pull, twist, walk, crouch and squat. Must be able to speak, hear and see. Working Conditions & Environment: Must be able to work in a smoke free, drug free environment. Must have open availability- ability to work all shifts, weekends, holidays and special events as needed is required. This position will require pre-employment screening including a background check and drug test.
